Why are some people upset about the US Conference of Bishops’ voting guide?

I have a problem with people like you who don;t actually know CST and what Call to Faithful CItizenship is. Why are you fooling yourself that Call to Faithful citizenship is all about abortion? It specifically states “Catholics are not single issue voters” Catholics are to take ALL the social teachings equally. All the sanctity of life issues equally which includes the death penalty, war, euthenasia. And well as dignity of the person living wage, immigration. ALL of the Social teachings are equal and we are to find the candidate that encompasses the most teachings, since none encompass all. To look for the one that encompasses the most, say you voted for a “pro-life” candidate who supported war, euthenasia the death penalty. Against raising min. wage, and had unjust immigration stance YOU would be a single issue voter which we are called directly not to be. YOu would be violating Call to Faithful Citizenship. YOU would be violating Catholic Social Teaching and YOU would be a fool to think you would not have to answer to God for it. And Call to Faithful Citizenship has been around every national election cycle (2 years) since 1976 why are people just noticing it now?

For a better understanding of this –you should investigate value added sales. Marketing has the ability to alter or create a perception of value in a product. What is “value” exactly? The following is a general list of things that can potentially be percieved as being or adding “value” to a product or service; It solves a problem The people offering a service are more professional/more educated etc. It costs less than other products but does what it does better than other products It is safer for the environment It is exclusive It is guaranteed It will last a lifetime It has an outstanding resale value It creates a statement or represents status-for example, an haute couture dress that no one else could afford The company that makes it is known for outstanding products and service–ie) branding power The company that makes the product has been in business forever and will still be there when your product needs parts It is locally made It is imported etc…

If you loose 5 pounds, is it suppose to be noticable?! please reassure me?
You’re doing really well but don’t focus on the actual amount of lbs you weigh, focus more on how your body feels and your clothes fit. As you work out, you’ll gain muscle, which weighs more than fat anyway. That’s awesome you lost the weight– I’m 120 and have the same problem. When I gain […]

You’re doing really well but don’t focus on the actual amount of lbs you weigh, focus more on how your body feels and your clothes fit. As you work out, you’ll gain muscle, which weighs more than fat anyway. That’s awesome you lost the weight– I’m 120 and have the same problem. When I gain weight it goes straight to my gut/chest. I hate it. But I’ve found the ONLY way I lose it is to do crazy amounts of cardio. Like 3 miles a day, 5 days a week plus eating healthy. I don’t do that at all right now, which is why I’m rocking the pudge (Ugh. I feel for you seriously. It’s annoying.) Even when I watch my diet and weighed 117, still had the pudge….but after about 1.5 months or so of serious cardio it started to go away. I weighed the exact same amount but my body fat went down. I also lost my boobs and most of my shape….haha. but the gut shrunk. It definitely didn’t happen over night though. And also, It didn’t go away completely. Unfortunately, I think some of us just have genes to carry extra fat storage around our midsection. My advice I guess, is don’t strive for perfection or overdue it. I try to tell myself my little tummy is cute because I’m pretty sure I just wasn’t meant to have a 6 pack…haha. Exercise and eat right, but also, learn to appreciate your body as it is.

Have u ever tried the lemonade diet??

The “Lemonade diet” is a crash diet. I know you probably hear this a LOT, but seriously, that weight is going to come back the minute you eat regular food again. Why? Because you’re losing muscle mass from the lack of nutrients, protein especially. The troublesome fat that you are trying to get rid of STAYS. If you just want to look good for a single event or something like that, I guess a crash diet will work for you temporarily, but the weight will come bouncing back in full force. Crash dieting is basically temporary anorexia. I can’t judge you for going to such extremes for an important event, but a lifestyle like that, with periodic bouts of anorexia, is very very detractive towards a long and healthy life, not to mention short term effects like hormonal chaos in your body. Constant fatigue, mood swings… I suggest you look into Alli, the only FDA approved weight-loss drug. It’s a big commitment, but if you’re willing to commit to consuming only lemonade and syrup for an extended period of time, you should be able to commit to the lifestyle that Alli commands. And you can even eat what you like, though admittedly in smaller amounts. I think syrupy lemonade would get tiring after awhile, don’t you?

Start by checking Expedia and Orbitz. I just got back from HK via Chicago and FW. I booked Expedia this time around. My round trip was $798. I always start by checking pricing this way. There are other sites too you can look into, like Skyauction.com. They changed the weight allowance for baggage this past Sept. of 2005. China was an exception though. But not on the return trip back to the States. I was allowed 32kg leaving, but return was 23 kg. I hand carried heavier articles on the return trip. A little inconvenient, but I did get my stuff back with me. Once you get a feel for prices, then you can decide when to buy. I have flown to Mainland China 4 times previously. The pricing ranged from $1,100 to $1,400. $1,250 two times. In my trips I have flown 747-400 and the 777. I would pay a little extra for the middle economy seats. There is approx. 5.5″ extra space between seats, at least on the 747. Makes getting out better. Also, go for the window seats. You can at least lean against them for sleep in a little better position.

what are the mutual feelings……..?
Are you asking if I think straight people are gross…? Because that would be extremely hypocritical and…em… heterophobic? Are you asking if I think straight people are gross…? Because that would be extremely hypocritical and…em… heterophobic? I’m a 13 year old lesbian and my opinion is that you can be attracted to whomever or whatever makes you happy. There are more than just heterosexual and homosexual, by the way. Look into it, if you’d like. There’s bisexual, pansexual, etc. There’s also some more rare and seemingly odd ones, called paraphilia. Some include: Fetishism: the use of inanimate objects to gain sexual excitement Pedohpilia: being attracted to children Transvestic fetishism: being attracted to the clothing of the opposite gender (I’m not sure if I worded that correctly) Necrophilia: attraction to corpses Zoophilia: attraction to animals Emetophilia: being ‘aroused’ by puke or someone puking Truly, I don’t see anything wrong with any of those (surprising, huh?), so I definetaly don’t have a problem with straight people or GLBT of any sort. Although I do question the animal abuse that could come with zoosexuality… Oh, well. To answer your question, I don’t really understand WHY anybody could be attracted to a guy (because I’m not, I can’t quite understand it) just like many girls cannot understand being attracted to another girl, but I’m completely accepting of whatever somebody wants. I don’t think anything is gross (although I REALLY don’t understand being attracted to vomit or animals…I don’t believe it’s gross). I hope i managed to actually answer your question…

You didn’t say how often you run - that makes a difference. Let’s say you can run 4 miles pretty much whenever you want and 5 miles is your current max. Here’s a plan: 1. Keep running at a nice easy pace - as you said, speed is not important. 2. try for 3 runs during the week between 3.5 and 4 miles. The short runs should be 48 hours after the long run and preferably not the day before the long run. 3. do a long run on the weekend: March 1st - 6 miles March 8th - 7 miles March 15th - 8 miles March 22nd - 9 miles March 29th - 10 miles April 5th - 5 miles April 12th - 11.5 miles April 19th - 5 miles April 26th - 1/2 marathon! If you’ve been running consistently then the above schedule is very do-able. 4. Be sure to stretch after your runs. 5. And, on your long runs, slow it down a little bit. If your legs feel tired too soon in the long run, then break it up with short walks - maybe 1 minute per mile. That will enable the muscles to work longer and will reduce risk of injury. 5. Also, be sure to eat something like a banana or energy bar and drink 12 oz (or more depending on heat and your body size) every 4-5 miles. When I train a long run, I either have someone at water stops or I run a 4-5 mile circuit so I’m always back at my place for liquid and snack. 6. Be SURE to allow 48 hours of rest after your long run.
